How Afterpay works

Pay in four instalments

Afterpay allows you to split your Satphone Shop purchase into four payments. You'll pay the first instalment to Afterpay when you place your order, then Afterpay will charge you for the remaining instalments fortnightly.

Paying with Afterpay is a normal Satphone Shop transaction. Your order is shipped the same as any other payment type.

Nothing extra to pay

As long as you pay your instalments to Afterpay on time, there are no additional fees and no interest. You can easily keep track of payments in your Afterpay account or using the Afterpay app.

How much can I spend on Afterpay?

You can make a purchase using after pay for any amount from $10 to $2000 including all shipping fees for all products on SatPhone Shop.

How to pay with Afterpay

If you choose Afterpay for your purchase, you'll see it as a payment option at checkout. If you don't already have an Afterpay account, you'll be prompted to create one.

This fantastic purchase option allows customers to defer the initial cost of the product into a reoccurring monthly interest free repayment plan.

It is very important that you read the following information so that you understand how this repayment option works.

Telstra's Mobile Repayment Option (MRO) gives you an easy way to purchase a Telstra Mobile Satellite phone/s when you connect to any of the 12 or 24-month Telstra service plans.

Important things to know about Mobile Repayment Options or $0 upfront purchases

The mobile repayment option only applies to specific products that have the selectable $0 upfront option and it cannot be transferred or extended to include accessories or other purchases. Other purchases must be paid in full upfront.
Repayment options are monthly only and the amount is fixed
All repayment options are over either a 12-month or a 24 month period
Your contract for the repayments are with Telstra
Mobile repayment options do not include any airtime services these are handled by a separate subscription fee with Telstra
Shipping and handling costs are not included.

You can also choose to make payment directly into our bank account. Just contact us during operating hours and we can advise our account details, and then you can transfer the funds directly into our account. Once the finds have been received, we will then despatch your order.

Iridium GO! Post-Paid Plans (Post-Paid Plan is subject to approval) NOTE: For your first month's bill, you will be charged any pro rata amounts, your monthly fee plus any applicable once off activation.

Iridium GO! Post-Paid with no set contract term, after 60 days, cancel any time after thsi period with no penalty.

"SPS bill cycle runs from the 5^th of each month to the 4^th of the following month.

So depending on your activation date, you will be charged a pro rata amount for the partial time connected for your first month, plus a month in advance.

There will also $25 activation fee charged as well as any usage. This pro rata amount and the month in advance represents the “minimum term” you service must remain active unless plan is specified differently.

Example:

You connect your service on the 18^th of the month. Your first bill would show: (example based on SPSGO5)

SPSGO5 plan 20^th of October to the 4^th of November being 15 days = $47.90 ( $99 divided by 31 days = $3.19 x 15)

Month In advance 5^th of November to the 4^th of December $99.00

Activation Fee Once Off $25

Total payable on first bill (assuming no usage) $171.90

To avoid any additional monthly charges, you would need to cancel the service before the 4^th of Decemeber

Any cancellations after the 5^th of December would be charged another monthly fee."
