Iridium GO! exec Overview
Iridium GO! exec is a portable wireless access device for smartphones and laptops. Powered by the Iridium Certus® 100 midband service, it enables Wi-Fi connectivity for select messaging, email, social media, weather, and light web browsing apps, as well as simultaneous access to two high quality voice lines for calls to friends, family, and co-workers.
This light and compact product offers portable personal connectivity and combines the features of a battery powered Wi-Fi access device with the built-in functionality of an Iridium® satellite phone. Users can make phone calls directly on Iridium GO! exec using the built-in speakerphone and microphone or connect wirelessly to the device within a range of up to 30 m (100 f) from their smartphone using an Iridium GO! exec app for phone calls and internet access.
What is the Iridium GO! exec?
The device has a dedicated SOS button that, when properly configured, allows quick and reliable connection to a global emergency service provider (IERCC or a user configured personal contact number). The built-in GPS receiver allows your exact location to relay to the operator.
The device has a full 4-inch color touchscreen and speaker and microphone for hands free calls and operation.
Smart phones, laptops and SIP phones can be connected to the Iridium GO! exec via the provided Wi-Fi hotspot or via a dedicated Ethernet port. Two voice calls and multiple data users can be concurrently using the device and sharing the speed of 22 Kbps uplink / 88 Kbps downlink connection.
Using data session profiles helps to avoid bill shock by minimizing background data being inadvertently sent via the satellite network where it can consume the monthly data allowance.
The Iridium GO! exec comes with AC, DC chargers and USB-C cable and includes a protective cover that clips over or under the unit.

There is no less expensive and more versatile option for connectivity when cellular and WiFi, or your Starlink service, are unavailable. As such, OCENS is pleased to announce a new Emergency plan for the Iridium GO! exec focusing on subscribers who primarily want to use their Iridium GO! exec devices for emergency or backup communications.
